FAQ

How does someone buy one of your Bichon Frise puppies?  First, check our Puppy page to see our available puppies.  If we have what you're looking for, send us an email.  You can send your deposit to hold your puppy or you can hop on our reserve list if one is not currently available.  We take deposits on LIVE puppies, not on future litters.  We do have a reserve list that we encourage you to get on so you can be notified of puppies as they are born, at which point we accept deposits.

I want to skip the puppy stage, do you have older bichons for sale?  Yes, we occasionally have older bichons for sale.  Check this page or email us for up-to-date info.

Are your dogs registered and tested?  Yes!  Our dogs are registered with multiple registries, including: AKC and APRI.  Our sire is DNA tested and registered with the OFA.  It is our goal to raise incredible dogs and peeking into their DNA helps us do that.  :)

Do you want a male or female puppy?   For some reason, families seem to lean toward a female perhaps assuming they are more motherly however male Bichons make amazing pets.  In our experience, males bond very well with the whole family and want to please you far more than a female Bichon.  Females tolerate grooming and males truly love it.  Females are more hormonal and will cycle (with blood) twice a year if she is not "fixed."  Males are very affectionate and love pleasing their owners.  While females can also be that way, it's more likely they will have mood swings.  Male or female, if you've been loved by a Bichon, you've known an angel with curls instead of wings and you'll never be the same.

How and when do I pick up my puppy?   We are near Colorado Springs and welcome you to come pick up your puppy.  We do not ship puppies alone on airlines!!  Yes, it is done everyday, but bichon frise puppies are delicate and this is an extra trauma for your little one.   We recommend picking up your puppy or having a Pet Nanny deliver her.  Please note that we are happy to video call before you purchase, and meet you locally with your puppy.  We do not allow puppies to go home until they are at least 8 weeks or older.

What do I need to know about this breed?  Bichon frise are hypoallergenic and we raise them in a hypoallergenic atmosphere, both for their good health and ours.  They have sensitive skin, need brushing regularly and professional grooming every 4 - 6 weeks, which costs $50+/groom depending on where you live.  They are a companion dog and respond well to lots of time with their loved ones.   They are high energy, balls of fluff with a happy-go-lucky demeanor.  Bichon Frise dogs are very smart, great with agility courses and other tricks.
